Antminer Z15 kernel log fault and solution
The following faults are from the kernel log of Antminer Z15, and other Antminer models are for reference only.
Fault 1: Antminer Z15 keeps restarting
The miner's repeated restart affects the miner's performance and affects the mining income of the miner. When the miner has such a fault, how should we troubleshoot? The following points can help you quickly find the fault.
Troubleshooting:
a. The power supply is unstable. When the miner is working, the output power current of the hash board can reach 200-300A. Therefore, when the output power fluctuates greatly, it will cause the miner to restart. Usually, in this case, it is recommended to replace the miner power supply.
b. The control board is damaged. The role of the control board in the miner is equivalent to a microcomputer. Therefore, when the control board is abnormal, it will also cause the miner to restart. The control board failure can be solved by flashing the control board firmware through the SD card or restoring the miner's factory settings; if the fault cannot be solved, it is recommended to replace the new Antminer Z15 control board.
c. The chip is unstable. The fault can usually be found through the kernel log. Find the faulty hash board, use the test fixture to detect the faulty BM1746 chip, and replace the faulty chip.
d. The network is unstable. Network instability can also cause miners to restart. Generally, the fault can be solved by replacing the network cable or network port.
Fault 2: Fan Error, No Hash Rate
According to the kernel log, two cooling fans are not found; you can troubleshoot by the following methods.
Troubleshooting:
1. Check whether the fan cable and extension cable is plugged in properly or have poor contact. If there is, it is recommended to re-plug;
2. If 1 cannot solve the fault, it is recommended to replace the two cooling fans that are not detected in the kernel log.
